These beautiful sculptures remind me of both spiders webs and galaxies. I love how the work is not just the wires, but the spaces created and divided between them. Definitely the kind of thing I like to see~!
As Junko Mori's sculptures reminded me of sea urchins, I thought I would look at the real thing. They look so beautiful and delicate, but can defend themselves and be very sharp. They have a sense of uniqueness within them, with each spine being slightly different.
This is the kind of work I like. It has a organic feel with lots of detail, but it is still bold and striking. They remind me of sea urchins with their many complex spines.
I love the detail on the surface of the shell. It must have been worn down so carefully, the effect is beautiful. I love how the branches overlap and connect in an intricate pattern. The shapes created are fantastic!
The detail in this is amazing, It looks so fragile and delicate and it must have taken so much meticulous work. It still has its natural organic feel after all that has happened to it which is a positive. This is just so intricate it is incredible!
Work that is eye catching and not at the same time... its interesting to think that this would only work from one direction, which makes it so dependent on its surroundings. The amount of work involved is spectacular!
